Quality inspection of electronic products -- Test standard and method for aging of capacitors
Date:2022-09-21 16:11:23 Views:2023
Aging, also known as "sophistication", refers to the continuous application of a certain electrical stress to components at a certain ambient temperature for a long time, which accelerates various physical and chemical reaction processes inside the components through the combined action of electrical thermal stress, and promotes the early exposure of various potential defects hidden inside the components, so as to eliminate early failure products. Aging test is one of the screening methods to ensure the reliability level and quality of capacitors. Next, we will explain the relevant information of this test.
What is a capacitor?
Capacitance is used to characterize the energy storage capacity of electronic components under a certain potential difference. When the medium is filled between conductors, the charge moves under the activation of the electric field. The media restricts movement, so charges accumulate and are stored in the drive. The stored charges are called capacitors, and the electronic components that store the corresponding charges are called capacitors. Capacitors play an important role in tuning, bypass, coupling, filtering and other circuits. It is used for tuning circuits of transistor radios, CD players and recorders, as well as for coupling circuits and bypass circuits of color TV sets.
Purpose of capacitor aging test
Inspect the change of product performance and the reliability of the product as the use time goes by.
Aging test method for capacitors
1. Under normal temperature and rated voltage, keep it for 12 minutes, and the leakage current {When UR ≤ 100V, I ≤ 0.01CV or 3 μ A (whichever is greater); When UR > 100V, I ≤ 0.0. CV+10 μ A}
2. Under high temperature of 85 ℃ and rated voltage, the leakage current fluctuation shall be detected for 24 hours continuously
3. Record the data every 5 minutes. The leakage current shall not fluctuate greatly during aging and shall be less than 10 times of the initial limit value
4. Restore to normal temperature and keep it for 12 minutes
5. Monitor whether the leakage current, loss angle and insulation resistance meet the standard under normal temperature.
