What is the ROHS test report? RoHS is a chemical report. RoHS is a mandatory standard formulated by EU legislation. Its full name is the restriction of hazardous substances. It has been officially implemented since July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, so as to make it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose is to limit the use of harmful substances in electronic and electrical products, so as to promote the environmental regeneration and final treatment of waste electronic and electrical equipment, so as to ensure human health. The directive specifies the limit requirements for toxic and harmful substances, and also requires countries to formulate corresponding penalties in accordance with the directive on limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment (2002 / 95 / EC).

RoHS directive covers a wide range of products, covering almost all electronic, electrical, medical, communication, toys, security information and other products. It includes not only the whole machine products, but also the parts, raw materials and packaging used in the production of the whole machine, which is related to the whole production chain. Of course, the environmental protection test items of components are also included. According to the latest news on June 4, 2015: the EU issued the RoHS 2.0 revision directive, officially adding four toxic and harmful substances (DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP) to the RoHS 2.0 control scope. In addition, there are 10 new toxic and harmful substances with four restrictions, as follows:

1. Lead (PB)

2. Cadmium (CD)

3. Mercury (Hg)

4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +)

5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs)

6. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)

7. Diisobutyl phthalate (DiBP)

8. Phthalic acid (2-ethylhexyl ester) (DEHP)

9. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)

10. Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)

About ROHS testing

EU RoHS

On January 27, 2003, the European Council adopted RoHS Directive (2002 / 95 / EC), that is, the directive on restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment. The directive restricts six hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products, including cadmium (CD), lead (PB), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs);

On June 8, 2011, 2002 / 95 / EC was officially replaced by 2011 / 65 / EU Directive (rohs2.0);

On June 4, 2015, the European Commission issued the amendment (EU) 2015 / 863 to RoHS 2.0 (2011 / 65 / EU), which officially included four items of di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), toluene butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DiBP) in the RoHS 2.0 restriction list (Annex II). So far, the EU ROHS directive has restricted 10 hazardous substances, including 4 heavy metals, 2 brominated substances and 4 orthobenzene.
