The more common ones are IP2X, IP3X, IPX7, IP43, IP44, IP45, IP54, IP55, IP65, IP66, IP67, IP68, etc. For example, IP68, the number 6 in the front represents that the dust can only reach level 6, which is a completely dust-tight condition, while the number 8 in the back represents that the water can only reach level 8, which means that the diving equipment will not enter water when the water depth is greater than 1 meter. Application scenario of protection grade

IP2X, IP3X: It is to protect human arms and fingers from entering the equipment, thus causing personal injury;

IP44, IP45: mainly applicable to electrical cabinets, control cabinets, distribution boxes and some other products with requirements for dust prevention and waterproof;

IP54 and IP55: mainly applicable to electrical cabinets, control cabinets, distribution boxes and other products with requirements for dust prevention and waterproof;

IP65, IP66: products with high requirements for dust prevention and can avoid the impact of large water flow, such as flow meters, detectors, and the appearance of various instruments;

IP67, IP68: applicable to mobile phones, precision appearance and other products with high requirements for dustproof and waterproof ability.

Purpose of protection level test

1) It is regulated that the electrical equipment shall avoid the human body from getting close to the risk parts in the shell.

2) The electrical equipment is regulated to prevent solid foreign matters from entering the equipment in the shell.

3) The electrical equipment is regulated to avoid harmful effects on the equipment due to water entering the shell.
