Acetone, also known as dimethyl ketone, is the simplest saturated ketone. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a special pungent smell. It is easily soluble in water and organic solvents such as methanol, chloroform, ethanol, ether and pyridine. It is flammable, volatile and has active chemical properties. At present, the industrial production of acetone in the world is mainly based on cumene method. Acetone is mainly used as solvent in industry in industries such as explosives, rubber, tanning, plastics, grease, fiber and painting. Preparation tools:

1. A bottle of 100% pure acetone can be bought in any shop that sells nail polish. Do not use any nail polish containing pigment or fragrance to remove water.

2. Several clean white cotton swabs

After wiping the chip with a cotton swab for 15 - 20 seconds, you may need to dip it with a new cotton swab, and then continue to wipe the chip. The most likely thing left after wiping is a stroke like a grinding mark, or, more rarely, a previous chip mark. It should be noted that with the cunning change of counterfeiters, the blackening used by counterfeiters has become an increased resistance to acetone. Although only a small part of the black was removed by rubbing with acetone, the sand marks were clearly visible.
