4. Provisions on transition period

(1) Medical equipment, monitoring equipment and their parts shall comply with RoHS2.0 since July 22, 2014;

(2) In vitro diagnostic medical equipment and its parts shall comply with RoHS2.0 since July 22, 2016;

(3) Industrial monitoring equipment and its parts shall comply with RoHS2.0 since July 22, 2017;

(4) Other new products under RoHS2.0 control shall comply with RoHS2.0 from July 22, 2019;

The RoHS Directive applies to the following types of equipment:

1. Large household appliances; Small household appliances;

2. IT and telecommunications equipment (although infrastructure equipment is tax-free in some countries);

3. Consumer equipment; Lighting equipment – including bulbs;

4. Electronic and electrical tools; Toys, leisure and sports equipment;

5. Medical devices (exemption was cancelled in July 2011);

6. Monitoring and control tools (exemption was cancelled in July 2011);

7. Automatic distributor.

Marking precautions for RoHS certification:

1. The mark shall be clear, visible, fade resistant and easy to remove;

2. When the mark is on the product, it should be generally marked at the obvious part of the product, such as the front of the product, the side and back of the product with function keys;

3. Other appropriate eye-catching colors can also be used, and the molded color can be the same as the product color.

4. If the label cannot be marked on the product due to the limitation of product volume, shape, surface material or function, the carrier of the label can also be a paper manual, instruction CD/DVD or packaging.
