ROHS testing is applicable to all electronic, electrical, medical, communication, toys, security information and other products. It includes not only the whole machine products, but also the parts, raw materials and packaging used in the production of the whole machine, which is related to the whole production chain.

[欧盟]RoHS2.0检测项目及常见问题介绍

Split the product according to the material, and detect the harmful substances with different materials. Generally speaking, four harmful metal elements shall be tested for metal materials, such as CD CD / Pb Pb / HG HG / Cr6 + hexavalent chromium; In addition to these four harmful heavy metal elements, brominated flame retardants (polybrominated biphenyls PBB / polybrominated diphenyl ethers PBDE) need to be detected for plastic materials.

Here are some questions to let you know more about rohs2 0 detection related content:

Rohs认证

1. Since 2019, what are the new requirements for restricted substances in EU ROHS 2.0?

On June 4, 2015, the EU issued directive (EU) 2015 / 863 to revise the list of restricted substances in Annex II of RoHS 2.0 and add four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP) on the basis of the original six restricted substances. The limit values of the four new phthalates are all 0.1%. So far, the restricted substances in Annex II of RoHS 2.0 have been increased to 10.

At the same time, the directive also stipulates that all electronic and electrical products (except medical equipment and monitoring equipment) shall meet the new requirements from July 22, 2019, and medical equipment and monitoring equipment shall meet the new requirements from July 22, 2021.

2. How about the recent enforcement of RoHS regulations in EU Member States?

Since 2015, EU member states have continuously strengthened the inspection of RoHS compliance of electronic and electrical products in market law enforcement activities. From the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019, the EU rapid warning system for non food consumer goods (RApex) has continuously reported RoHS violations, involving different types of electronic products such as communication, lighting, electronic accessories and electric toys, most of which came from Swedish law enforcement agencies. The frequent violation cases indicate that the EU may strengthen RoHS compliance inspection in market law enforcement this year. It is suggested that enterprises strengthen quality control to ensure that products meet EU ROHS requirements.

3. Will EU ROHS restricted substances increase?

Since 2018, the EU ROHS advisory body has launched two public consultations on the review and revision of restricted substances in Annex II of the RoHS directive. These public consultations mainly target seven priority substances, including antimony trioxide, tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBP-A), indium phosphide (INP), medium chain chlorinated paraffins (mccps), beryllium and its compounds, nickel sulfate and nickel sulfamate, cobalt dichloride and cobalt sulfate.

The consultation and evaluation report is expected to be released in June 2019. The work plan will finally determine the use data of substances in electronic and electrical products (EEE) and formulate a list of priority substances. The substances in the list may be considered by the EU to be included in the list of RoHS restricted substances.

4. Is there a new exemption update for EU ROHS officially implemented this year?

On May 18, 2018, the European Commission issued a series of directives to update seven exemption clauses in Annex III of RoHS 2.0 directive (articles 6 (a), 6 (a) - I, 6 (b), 6 (b) - I, 6 (b) - II, 6 (c), 7 (a), 7 (c) - I, 24 and 34), involving the application of lead in a variety of materials, including high-temperature fuse materials, glass and ceramics, as well as in steel, aluminum Application on copper, etc. According to the requirements of the European Commission, these updated exemption provisions will be officially implemented from July 1, 2019.

5. When did the United Arab Emirates (UAE) RoHS officially control four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DiBP)?

UAE RoHS divides products into 4 groups:

A) Class 8 and 9 (medical equipment, in vitro diagnostic medical equipment, monitoring equipment and industrial monitoring equipment);

B) Wires and accessories for group a products;

C) All equipment, wires and cables and parts used for EEE maintenance, reuse and upgrading except for products of category 8 and 9, except products of category 11;

D) Class 11 (other electronic and electrical products).

Different control time is specified for different groups. The control time of group A and group B is from January 1, 2022, and the control time of group C and group D is from January 1, 2020.

6. When will China's RoHS Compliance Management Catalogue be officially implemented?

On March 12, 2018, the Ministry of industry and information technology of the people's Republic of China (MIIT) issued the catalogue for the administration of compliance with the restrictions on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products (the first batch), which is required to be implemented one year after the date of announcement.

Therefore, from March 12, 2019, the content of hazardous substances in the products included in the catalogue shall meet the relevant standards such as the requirements for the limited use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, and be included in the management scope of the conformity assessment system for the limited use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products.

7. What products are included in China RoHS Compliance Management Catalogue (the first batch)? Are there exceptions to the limit requirements?

The Compliance Management Catalogue (the first batch) includes 12 categories of products: refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, electric water heaters, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, monitors, microcomputers, mobile communication handheld machines and telephone stand-alone machines.

The contents of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in the above products shall meet the relevant limit requirements. Considering the current technical level, for the products in the catalogue, the application exception list of restricted substances in the compliance management catalogue is also formulated, and the applications listed in the list may not be implemented according to the limit requirements of hazardous substances for the time being.

8. What are the differences between China's RoHS and EU ROHS in the test methods for the content of hexavalent chromium in metal coatings?

The EU ROHS test method has been constantly updated. At present, the test standard for the content of hexavalent chromium in metal coatings has been updated to IEC 62321-7-1:2015, which replaces the test content of hexavalent chromium in metal coatings in the old IEC 62321:2008 Annex B standard. The new standard cancels the point test and cancels the qualitative description of the test results with "positive / negative", but presents the quantitative results with the test data, with the unit of μ g/cm2。 At present, the detection method of RoHS in China refers to GB / T 26125-2011, which is equivalent to IEC 62321:2008 standard.
