BLR Verification for Automotive Electronics

Description:

Board-level reliability (BLR) is an international test method used to evaluate the quality and reliability of solder connections after mounting an IC package to a printed circuit board (PCB). It is also a common testing item for handheld devices.

Automotive electronics testing focuses not only on product life testing but also on incorporating product structure and product assembly quality concepts into the testing process. For example, pull/push force testing, solder ball bonding strength testing, and bending testing are included. This expands the traditional focus on the electrical and environmental humidity-related testing of electronic components to include stress and mechanical aspects for early verification.

Scope of Application:

Automotive board level.
