Water Immersion Test

Description:

The water immersion test is conducted to fully immerse the test sample in water for a certain period, followed by draining and drying under predetermined atmospheric conditions and within a set time.

The water immersion test involves the following basic steps:

1.Fill the water tank with water to a certain depth, within the range of 5~40 degrees Celsius. The temperature change during immersion should be within ±2 degrees Celsius.

2.Place the test specimen into the immersion device, slowly immersing it in water at a rate less than 300mm/min until the specimen’s surface is completely submerged below 100mm and maintain it for a specified time. The holding time can be 5, 15, 30 minutes, or 1, 2, 4 hours, depending on the requirements.

3.After the designated time, lift the test specimen out of the water at a rate less than 300mm/min.

4.Place the test specimen on a dripping grid to drain, fully exposing it to the predetermined atmospheric conditions for 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, 72 hours, or 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks, depending on the specific technical requirements.
